Alexis Peterson, playing for the German national team, finished the World Cup in fourth place. Virag Takacs-Kiss’s Hungary reached the quarterfinals, where they were unable to defeat the United States. Finally, Elizabeth Balogun’s Nigeria was eliminated in the group stage, failing to secure a single victory against South Korea, Hungary, and France.
